hi-Fi Music Hall
In my strategic writing and media relations course, I created a media kit for Hi-Fi Music Hall in Eugene, Oregon.
Role: Public Relations Practitioner.
Opportunity: To increase awareness of Hi-Fi Music Hall among University of Oregon (UO) students as Eugene's best live music venue.
Approach: Create a media kit that includes a pitch letter, a brochure copy, a video PSA, a news release and a print ad. I interviewed employees at Hi-Fi Music Hall to develop copy, wrote the copy, and designed the layout for all items in the media kit.
Outcome: To increase awareness amongst UO students, I pitched a letter to The Daily Emerald because media coverage through UO news outlets would help reach students and inform them about what services Hi-Fi offers. Additionally, I created an informative brochure to distribute at Hi-Fi Music Hall and high traffics areas throughout UO and a news release to be distributed in local news outlets in Eugene, Oregon as well as The Daily Emerald to students and members in the community are aware of upcoming events at Hi-Fi as well as more about the venue itself.
